I just want to start off by saying that I haven’t read any DeadPool comics before this one. I’ve been reading the Fear Itself story arc within the Marvel Universe and absolutely love it. I’ve taken on the task to get most of the Fear Itself comics as I am really enjoying how all the stories are intertwined within one another.

Fear Itself: DeadPool is a 3 comic story line the only relates to Fear Itself as a minor side story. The story behind it is that the hammers have fallen and DeadPool sees an opportunity to make a little cash by swindling The Walrus into a fake hammer and cause some mayhem. DeadPool can then cash in on the situation.

Not being overally familiar with DeadPool, I had to get used to who he was and how he operated but putting that aside, the story is standard. Classic anti-hero story where DeadPool is trying to scam people out of money but in the end, does the right thing. Its not a bad read but not overly exciting either.

Unless your a hardcore DeadPool fan, I would say this is a pass. It might revolve around the Fear Itself event but has no affect on anything that is going on.  If you miss reading this, you certainly will not miss anything.
